Ashburn 10.85 kW, VA

This Ashburn VA townhome is perfectly situated with no tree shading.  Our client was searching for a high-end, custom designed system, utilizing the most efficient solar panels with the best warranty in the market.  His goal was to have the most aesthetically pleasing installation to keep his HOA happy.  In reality, HOA’s no longer have the power to refuse a solar application, but we believe that solar panels can and should look good on the roof.  High-efficiency Solaria 350W modules with 25 yr manufacturer warranty again made the perfect sense.  We designed a two-array solar panel system utilizing both sides of the house – east/west configuration.  This system will provide 100% of the homeowners’ current yearly power needs resulting in an estimated $1,490 in annual savings. We paired Solaria modules with SolarEdge P370 optimizers to mitigate multi-array and morning/late afternoon shading issues. To achieve a clean and stream-lined look, all electrical conduits were routed through the attic space, and inside wall cavities to a SolarEdge power Inverter located inside the garage.  At the same time, we have installed an energy consumption meter to complement the solar production metering.  Both Solar power production and home consumption can be monitored in real-time via a cloud-based monitoring platform directly on a smartphone or desktop computer. The optional consumption meter will allow our client to keep track of his energy usage and make further efficiency upgrades to further reduce the electric bill.

All our solar installs are custom designed to fit the need, budget, and aesthetic goals of the homeowner – find out today how you can start producing clean, renewable electricity at your home.
