One of best clients, who spearheaded a neighborhood campaign to get more solar in his neighborhood, approached us over a year before finally being ready for solar. The house went through a complete transformation, effectively making it bigger, more efficient, and greener, by incorporating high efficiency windows, updated insulation, and finishing off with 2 electric vehicles. Aesthetic installation with room to expand the solar system were key requirements, which we gladly met. We used high-efficiency Siflab 310W modules with 25 yr manufacturer warranty. This system will provide 75% of the homeowners’ yearly power needs (including power for both EV’s) resulting in an estimated $1,600 in annual savings. We paired the modules with SolarEdge P370 optimizers to mitigate multi-array and shading issues. To achieve a clean and stream-lined look, all electrical conduits were routed through the attic space to a SolarEdge power Inverter located in the basement. As always, we’ve included an energy consumption meter to complement the solar production metering. Both Solar power production and home consumption can be monitored in real-time via a cloud-based monitoring platform directly on a smartphone or desktop computer.
